Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival and airport pick up. Visit Mabamba Swamp.
Check in at Hotel No.5, relaxation have lunch and visit mabamba swamp for shoebill trekking dinner, overnight
Day 2: Fly from Entebbe to Kihihi, southwestern region
Early morning after breakfast, you will be picked up to catch your flight to Kihihi airstrip, have a short drive to Ishasha sector south of queen Elizabeth national park, check in at Ishasha wilderness camp, relaxation, while enjoying the ambiance of the camp because its located on Ntungwa river, an idyllic retreat for wild adventurers.
Have lunch at the lodge, and prepare for an evening game drive in the open savannah where will see variety of animals including the tree climbing lions lazily lying in the fig trees and gazing at the beautiful savannah woodlands and ready to hunt, herds of elephants, buffaloes and kobs. During the drive, sounds and sights of birds are seen not forgetting viewing the spectacular open savannah woodland and riverine forests. After your drive you will be returned to your hotel, relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 3-4: Transfer to Buhoma sector Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After having breakfast, checkout and your guide will be ready to drive you through the rugged terrain, dense rainforests and roughly half of the worlds remaining mountain gorillas making it a popular destination for gorilla trekking. This journey takes almost 2hours.
Arrive at your hotel check in, relaxation and lunch at Sanctuary gorilla forest camp, relaxation or visit the Batwa trail around the lodge to see their amazing cultural experience, their life style and survival tricks in the forest, traditional dances and storytelling, dinner and overnight.
Day 4, wake up very early for morning breakfast, packed lunch from the lodge, drive to the gorilla information center meet up with the guides and porters for a short briefing and group allocations for the trail and have ample time to hire some hiking equipments. immerse yourself into the forest for gorilla trekking which takes ample time, while on the trek, sounds of birds are heard and some seen and other animals and tree species. You will have 1hour experience with the gorillas watching their behaviors and taking photography. Return to the camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight,
Day 5: Return to Entebbe.
On the fifth day, fly back to Entebbe. End of the tour.
